Proof of health insurance is required for enrollment. Students from EU and EEA countries must present their valid European Health Insurance Card or a corresponding certificate from their home health insurance fund. There are also social security agreements with some countries outside the EU. Please check with your health insurance provider whether this applies to your country.
If your home country does not have a social security agreement with Germany, you must take out health insurance after your arrival at your place of study. The IZC will be happy to advise you on this matter. You can also find information on this on our website with the Practical information.
