Electronic registration of Germans abroad (Elefand)

All Germans staying abroad for short or long periods can register their stay electronically with the German embassy or consulate in their destination country.

Registration in the "Elefand" crisis prevention list (electronic registration of Germans abroad) is password-protected and takes place online. By registering with "Elefand", you can be included more easily in any crisis preparedness or crisis response measures required by the Federal Foreign Office.
