If you do not wish to study abroad within the framework of the cooperations offered by Clausthal University of Technology, you can apply directly to the university of your choice. Please bear in mind that you will have to take care of all the organizational and bureaucratic matters yourself, which can take a lot of time. Please consider the financial feasibility of your project abroad at an early stage and plan about a year in advance. As a freemover, you will generally have to pay tuition fees, which can be very high depending on the country and degree program. In most cases, you will receive the application information and documents for studying abroad from the International Office of your chosen university.
Before your stay, please also clarify with your respective academic advisor which credits from the host university can be recognized at Clausthal University of Technology in order to avoid disappointment later on.
