The majority of our degree programs are taught in German. However, we also have some courses that are partly taught in English. It is therefore very important that you have sufficient language skills at the beginning of the semester. For both the German and the English-language degree programs, we recommend that you have at least a B2 language level (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
If you do not have sufficient language skills at the time of application, use the time until the start of your stay at Clausthal University of Technology to improve your language skills.
The Clausthal University of Technology Language Center offers intensive German language courses, sometimes in cooperation with partners. During the semester, you can attend study-related courses and improve your German language skills. The Language Center also offers a wide range of other languages.
