You should start thinking about a possible stay abroad quite early on during your studies.
You should ask yourself the following questions:
- Which country is interesting for me?
- Which languages do I speak or would I like to learn?
- Would I prefer to study abroad or gain practical experience?
- How long should my stay abroad last?
Here you should bear in mind
- that a stay abroad does not usually extend the duration of your studies.
- that, depending on the degree program and university, preparation times of 6 to 9 months should be planned (slightly less for internships)
- that the question of financing plays a decisive role.
