The financial support for Erasmus mobility for teaching purposes or for further education and training is based on the different costs of living in the target countries ("program countries").

Uniform daily rates apply for funding from German universities. From project year 2024, the following fixed daily rates apply for Germany for four country groups up to the 14th day of the stay; from the 15th to the 60th day of the stay, the funding amounts to 70% of the daily rates mentioned:

Group 1: 180 euros per day for Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden.

Group 2: 160 euros per day for Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Malta, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Cyprus.

Group 3: 140 euros per day for Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Hungary.

However, the funding can also include so-called "zero grant" periods, i.e. days spent abroad without a financial Erasmus+ grant but with Erasmus status.

The IZC will provide you with more detailed information about your project abroad. In addition to the daily rates, there are travel costs depending on the actual distances between the place of departure and destination of the mobility, which are calculated uniformly throughout Europe using a calculation tool (Distance Calculator).

The unit cost contribution calculated from the table with this single distance refers to the entire journey (outward and return journey)
