Application

The completed application documents must be submitted to the Clausthal International Center (IZC). Please refer to the application checklist to find out which documents are required for your application.

Please note that Clausthal University of Technology charges a processing fee for checking the admission requirements of foreign applicants (see downloads). Only complete applications for which the fee has been paid will be processed.

We will process your application as quickly as possible as soon as all documents are complete and the application fee has been paid. Please understand that inquiries about the status of your application can only be answered by e-mail.

All admissions are sent exclusively by e-mail to the e-mail address provided in the application.

2. Print out the application for admission and sign it.
3. Collect the required documents. (Application checklist)
4. Pay the processing fee. (processing fee)*
5. Send your application documents by post to this address:

Application deadlines

There are no deadlines for conditional admission. (German language skills)

If you have fulfilled the language requirements, the following application deadlines apply:

Winter semester - October 01 (Master) and October 15 (Bachelor)

Summer semester - April 1st (Master) and April 15th (Bachelor)

The following application deadlines apply for English-language degree programs:

15.07. for the winter semester

15.01. for the summer semester

Applications for the entrance test at the Studienkolleg Hannover must be received two weeks before the start of the respective entrance test. You can find the dates for the entrance test here.

* Important information for the degree programs Materials Science and Materials Engineering:
Please note that for the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Materials Science and Materials Engineering, the results of the language tests (English & German) must be available at the time of application for university admission. These language tests are an integral part of the application process. Conditional admission is not possible in this context.
