Even though Clausthal is a relatively small town, it has a large number of well-stocked supermarkets from well-known chains. You will find these supermarkets at Ostbahnhof, at the exit to Goslar and in Osteröder Straße. In the city center along Adolph-Roemer-Straße, there is a row of different stores. There you will find pretty much everything you need for everyday life.
In the Zellerfeld district, the traditional mountain farmers' market is open every Thursday evening from May to October, offering typical Harz delicacies, entertainment, souvenirs and music.
The canteen and cafeteria offer students and members of the university good quality food and drink at reasonable prices every day. You can choose from salads, soups, vegetarian dishes as well as meat and fish dishes.
The university store stocks a wide range of TU Clausthal merchandising items: from T-shirts and lanyards to ballpoint pens.
