TUB-Tongji Summer School 2023

This year's three-week summer school organized by TU Berlin and Tongji University in Shanghai offers another opportunity to do so:

September 04 - 22, 2023 (in Shanghai, China)

Under the direction of sinologist Dr. Sigrun Abels, the course has been offered at the Chinese-German University College (CDHK) of Tongji University for 15 years.

The modular, three-week intensive program for 30 German students is primarily aimed at industrial engineers and economists. It combines lectures by renowned China experts with intercultural management training and specialist courses by professors and company representatives.

The program includes excursions to German and German-Chinese companies as well as daily Chinese lessons and cultural excursions to the Shanghai area. In this way, future young professionals are introduced to Chinese culture, politics, business and language; the accompanying cultural activities contribute to a better understanding between China and Germany and help to build a bridge between the cultures. Successful participation is confirmed by a certificate. Students of TUB and other Tongji partner universities (e.g. RUB, TUBS, TUM) can receive 6 ECTS credits for the coursework completed during the Summer School.

The total costs amount to approx. 2,640 € and are to be borne by the students themselves (including flight, accommodation and program fees for teachers, excursions, overnight stays, entrance fees, etc.).
