RISE - Research Internships in Science and Engineering: Important deadlines!

Until September 18, 2024, students from German universities can apply for a research internship in Canada for the summer of 2025. The DAAD supports the stay with a monthly scholarship and a travel allowance. The offer is aimed at bachelor's, diploma and state examination students from universities and universities of applied sciences in the fields of natural sciences and engineering, medicine, psychology and computer science (master's students are unfortunately not eligible to apply).

The DAAD works together with the Canadian organization Mitacs - Globalink. Applicants have access to over 2,000 internship offers via the Globalink internship database: https://www.mitacs.ca/our-programs/globalink-research-internship-students/

RISE Germany

Until September 30, 2024, doctoral candidates from Germany can post an internship offer in the RISE Germany database.

Academics from universities of applied sciences can also offer a research internship at RISE.

The DAAD finances up to 300 scholarships for Bachelor students from North America, Great Britain and Ireland. The funding period is 10-12 weeks. The internships can start from May 15, 2025.

In 2024, 2,358 students applied for projects in Germany! The students come from the natural sciences, engineering and computer science, and the working language is English.
