On June 3rd, 2023 the IZC is organizing an excursion to the airbus factory in Hamburg. You can find further information here.

Dear students,

On 03.06.2023, the IZC is once again organizing an excursion to Airbus in Hamburg.

With around 12,500 employees, Hamburg is the largest Airbus site in Germany and the headquarters of Airbus Operations GmbH.

Hamburg plays a central role in the development and production of all Airbus aircraft and is one of the largest employers in the region. Four final assembly lines and the global program management for the successful A320 family are located in Hamburg. In addition, the fuselage segments for all Airbus civil aircraft are assembled in Hamburg and equipped with the systems important for flight operations. Hamburg also has important work packages for the Airbus A380: This is where all A380s are painted and fitted with cabin interiors before they are delivered to customers in Europe and the Middle East.

The individual cabin definition of the airlines is managed from Hamburg for all Airbus aircraft. For the A350 XWB, this process takes place in the unique Customer Definition Center (CDC), which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and showrooms to speed up and simplify the cabin definition process.

The €15 participation fee includes the bus transfer and a guided tour of the plant. The excursion starts at 12:00 in the morning and we will be back around 23:00.

Registration is still open until 12.05.2023, Mon. to Thurs. between 10-12 am and 1-14:30 pm (in person), room 17, isa@tu-clausthal.de at the International Center.

Please note that you must have a valid identification document (e.g. passport / identity card).
