The Language Center of the International Center Clausthal (ICC) offers a wide range of language courses at different levels.

Welcome to the International Center Clausthal

Under the umbrella of the International Center (IZC), the International Office and the Language Center of the TU Clausthal work together on the internationalization of studies and teaching.

We are responsible for the international cooperation of the TU Clausthal and in this context we take care of delegations, represent the university at international fairs and events and further expand the network of partnerships. We are responsible for the language courses offered and continue to develop the program with regard to the growing demand for additional language qualifications. In addition, the IZC advises the Presidential Board of TU Clausthal on internationalization issues.

Liebe Studierende,

am 26.04.2024 veranstaltet das IZC wieder eine Exkursion zur Firma Airbus nach Hamburg.

Die Stadt Hamburg, der Firmensitz von Airbus Commercial in Deutschland und größter deutscher Airbus-Standort, spielt eine zentrale Rolle bei der Entwicklung und Fertigung aller Airbus-Flugzeuge. Damit ist Hamburg weltweit der drittgrößte Standort der zivilen Luftfahrt.

Die Mitarbeiter in Hamburg sind für die Airbus-Programme von zentraler Bedeutung. Sie sind für die Strukturmontage, die Ausrüstung der Rumpfsektionen, die Endmontage sowie für das gesamte Programm-Management der A320-Familie zuständig.

Aus Finkenwerder stammt rund die Hälfte aller jährlich produzierten Jets der A320-Familie.

In den 15 € Teilnahmegebühr sind der Bustransfer sowie die Führung durch das Werk inbegriffen. Die Exkursion beginnt um 08:00 Uhr morgens und zurück werden wir gegen 18:30 Uhr sein.

Die Anmeldung ist noch bis zum 08.04.2024, Mo. bis Do. zwischen 10–12 Uhr und 13–14:30 (persönlich), Raum 17, isa@tu-clausthal.de im Internationalen Zentrum möglich.

Wir weisen darauf hin, dass Sie über ein gültiges Ausweisdokument (z.B. Reisepass / Personalausweis) verfügen müssen.

Dear students,

on April 26th., 2024 the IZC is organizing an excursion to the Airbus factory in Hamburg.

Hamburg – the headquarters for Airbus Commercial Aircraft activities in Germany, and the biggest Airbus location in Germany – plays a central role in the development and manufacturing of all Airbus jetliners. This makes the Airbus operation adjacent at Hamburg-Finkenwerder Airport the third-largest site in the civil aviation industry worldwide.

Employees at Hamburg are central to Airbus programmes. They handle structural assembly; the equipping of fuselage sections; final assembly, and also oversee the entire A320 jetliner family’s program management. 

The Hamburg-Finkenwerder industrial facility is responsible for more than half of Airbus’ annual A320 Family output.

 The €15 participation fee includes bus transfer and a guided plant tour. The trip starts at 08:00 a.m. and we will be back at approximately 06:30 p.m.

Registration is still possible until 08.04.2024, Mon. to Thurs. between 10-12 and 13-14:30 (in person), room 17, isa@tu-clausthal.de at the International Center.

You must present a valid ID (e.g. passport / ID card) in order to register for this trip.
