The Language Center of the International Center Clausthal (ICC) offers a wide range of language courses at different levels.

Welcome to the International Center Clausthal

Under the umbrella of the International Center (IZC), the International Office and the Language Center of the TU Clausthal work together on the internationalization of studies and teaching.

We are responsible for the international cooperation of the TU Clausthal and in this context we take care of delegations, represent the university at international fairs and events and further expand the network of partnerships. We are responsible for the language courses offered and continue to develop the program with regard to the growing demand for additional language qualifications. In addition, the IZC advises the Presidential Board of TU Clausthal on internationalization issues.

Liebe Studierende,

am 03.06.2023 veranstaltet das IZC wieder eine Exkursion zur Firma Airbus nach Hamburg.

Hamburg ist mit rund 12.500 Beschäftigten der größte deutsche Airbus-Standort und Sitz der Airbus Operations GmbH.

Hamburg spielt eine zentrale Rolle bei der Entwicklung und Fertigung aller Airbus-Flugzeuge und ist einer der größten Arbeitgeber der Region. In Hamburg befinden sich vier Endmontagelinien und das weltweite Programm-Management für die erfolgreiche A320-Familie. Darüber hinaus werden in Hamburg die Rumpfsegmente für alle zivilen Flugzeuge von Airbus montiert und mit den für den Flugbetrieb wichtigen Systemen ausgestattet. Auch beim Airbus A380 hat Hamburg wichtige Arbeitspakete: Hier werden alle A380 lackiert und mit der Kabinenausstattung versehen, bevor sie an Kunden in Europa und dem Mittleren Osten ausgeliefert werden.

Die individuelle Kabinendefinition der Airlines wird für alle Airbus-Flugzeuge von Hamburg aus gesteuert. Für die A350 XWB findet dieser Prozess im einzigartigen Customer Definition Centre (CDC) statt, das mit modernster Technik und Showrooms ausgestattet ist, um den Prozess der Kabinendefinition zu beschleunigen und zu vereinfachen.

In den 15 € Teilnahmegebühr sind der Bustransfer sowie die Führung durch das Werk inbegriffen. Die Exkursion beginnt um 12:00 Uhr morgens und zurück werden wir gegen 23:00 Uhr sein.

Die Anmeldung ist noch bis zum 12.05.2023, Mo. bis Do. zwischen 10–12 Uhr und 13–14:30 (persönlich), Raum 17, isa@tu-clausthal.de im Internationalen Zentrum möglich.

Wir weisen darauf hin, dass Sie über ein gültiges Ausweisdokument (z.B. Reisepass / Personalausweis) verfügen müssen.

Dear students,

on June 3rd, 2023 the IZC is organizing an excursion to the Airbus factory in Hamburg.

With around 12,500 employees, Hamburg is Germany's largest Airbus site and home to Airbus Operations GmbH.

Hamburg plays a central role in the development and production of all Airbus aircrafts and is one of the region's largest employers. Four final assembly lines and the worldwide program management for the successful A320 Family are located in Hamburg. In addition, Hamburg assembles the fuselage segments for all Airbus civil aircraft and equips them with the systems essential for flight operations. Hamburg also has important work packages for the Airbus A380: Here, all A380s are painted and fitted with the cabin interior before they are delivered to customers in Europe and the Middle East.

The airlines' individual cabin definition for all Airbus aircraft is controlled from Hamburg. For the A350 XWB, this process takes place in the unique Customer Definition Centre (CDC), which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and showrooms to speed up and simplify the cabin definition process.

The €15 participation fee includes bus transfer and a guided plant tour. The trip starts at 12:00 p.m. and we will be back at approximately 11:30 p.m.

Registration is still possible until 12.05.2023, Mon. to Thurs. between 10-12 and 13-14:30 (in person), room 17, isa@tu-clausthal.de at the International Center.
