Cite Properly – Avoid Plagiarism
Writing for university is difficult. The sheer magnitude of different formatting style guides and the fear of plagiarizing can be confusing and overwhelming. To help you overcome these hindrances, we will discuss in this two-day workshop the citation and paraphrasing skills required for papers and presentations in an English-speaking academic setting. We will introduce the basic principles of citations, practice how to quote and paraphrase properly, create a properly formatted reference list, and compare various academic style guides.
In order to receive a grade for this workshop, full attendance on both days is mandatory, and assignments must be completed and submitted.
