German language proficiency test for admission (DSH)

 

TU Clausthal offers a DSH exam which is nationally recognized. This exam takes place twice a year, in February/March and July/August.

Participation requirements:

  • Exam fee of 150 euros
  • Confirmation of your applicant status, an acceptance letter or enrollment confirmation from the TU Clausthal (external applicants are not admitted)
  • Certificate of successful completion of C1.1 level (a minimum of 67% of the overall score of the written part must be reached) from the following institutions: Volkshochschulen, universities, Goethe-Institut, Carl-Duisberg-Centren*

We do not accept:

  • attendance or registration certificates
  • DSH-1 or TestDaf certificates
  • language certificates issued by private language schools
  • language certificates from other countries (except Goethe Institute certificates)
  • C1.1 certificates without proof of 67% of the overall score of the written part
  • Certificates that have been issued before 23th of September 2019

If you are unsure if your language certificate is accepted by our institution, please contact us before coming to the registration.
